Warm Clothing Drive
As the cold weather quickly settles into the Detroit Metro area and warmer clothes are needed to keep people warm. A simple scarf, gloves, and a hat can make a significant difference in one’s comfort level to help them endure the bitter cold winter weather that is upon us. However, some people can’t afford those garments. Thus, sadly, many people many go without. Hypothermia, frost bite and many other complications can be prevented with just one small act of kindness.
The UAW Local 600 will be set up a Warm Clothing Drive for Adults in need. They will have a large distribution drop off area with in the UAW Local 600 main lobby, in the beginning of December. People around the entire community our invited to come together and donate new and gently used scarves, coats, gloves, hats, and sock to keep people a litter warmer this winter.
