The UAW Local 600 Surviving Spouse and Bereavement Support Group
The UAW Local 600 Surviving Spouse and Bereavement Support Group meets every three months on the first Wednesday from 11:00a.m. until 1:00p.m. All meetings are held at the UAW Local 600. This group was organized to meet the needs of/and provide support for all surviving spouses and signigicant others within the UAW Local 600 Family. We have extended our help to all bereaved UAW persons. Please feel welcome to visit our meetings and invite any UAW members who suffers the loss of a love one.
Our Mission
Our Mission is to provide support for individuals who grive the loss of a spouse; or love one through motivation, education, encouragement and hope. To inpire those who have experienced a physical loss of a spouse or love one in coping with life after death situations. To be a bereavement resource that builds a more compassionate understanding of grief awareness, while creating a support system within the UAW, where all who have experienced the pain of dealth mey come to work through their loss and learn to mange grief. To enlighten the bereaved through an understanding that grief may endure for awhile, but the Spirit of God shall provide peace, comfort, joy and hope at all times.
Here is a brief description of what we do:

We Provide fun, frendship and emotional support for all UAW widows/widowers and bereaved persons.

We also have social meetings; adult nights out; and we actively participated in State & Federal Legislation to improve Survivor Benefits.
